PARTNERS IN EDUCATION

Sawnee EMC is involved in a community partnership with two schools through the Forsyth County and Cherokee County Chambers of Commerce.

Sawnee is partnered with Matt Elementary in Forsyth County and Free Home Elementary in Cherokee. Sawnee employees take part by reading to classes every Friday morning, demonstrating our Power Town model to students, and participating in other school events.

The experiences that Sawnee and both partners receive through the Partners In Education program are invaluable. The partnership allows students the opportunity to have contact with the business world and gives Sawnee a different perspective on the world through the eyes of a child.
