How energy efficient is your home? Do you suffer from high bills?
Do you feel drafts inside your home or do rooms stay too cold or too
hot? If you answered ‘yes’ to these questions, it’s time to
consider a FREE energy audit from one of Sawnee EMC’s Energy
Service Representatives. A representative will come to your home,
perform a visual inspection, and recommend ways to improve your
home’s efficiency.
The following areas are inspected when an energy audit is
performed:
- Duct sealing
- Insulation level
- Areas of air infiltration (windows, doors, basement walls,
etc.)
- Ventilation in the attic
- Thermostat
- Positioning of supply and return vents throughout the home
- Estimations on heating and cooling costs
- Breakdown of cost/usage on certain equipment/appliances
Based on what the home may need, you may be eligible for rebates
and incentives for increasing the efficiency of your home. Call
Sawnee EMC’s Customer Service Center at (770) 887-2363 to request
this free service, or
request
it online.
Do-It-Yourself

If you are interested in the audit service but just can’t find the
time, we offer a Do-It-Yourself Home Energy Checkup video. This
