SAWNEE
EMC’S CATF MEMBERS DONATE TO CHARITY
CUMMING, GA (February 20,
2003)–For 65 years, Sawnee EMC has served its members with pride and the
goal to exceed members’ needs.
Community involvement is, and has been, a vital part of Sawnee’s
commitment. Through this ideal, Sawnee
EMC formed its Consumer Advisory Task Force (CATF) to expand its participation.
CATF members
proudly participate in their fundraising activities. Monies raised from their annual quilt raffle helps to fund Sawnee
EMC’s youth scholarship program and also provides needed funds to various
charities. Over the past five years, in
addition to the monies raised for the scholarships, the CATF has donated over
$5,000 to various charitable organizations.
Sawnee EMC is a
consumer-owned cooperative providing electricity to more than 115,000 members
in Cherokee, Dawson, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall and Lumpkin counties. As one of the fastest-growing EMCs in the
United States, Sawnee EMC is the third-largest electric cooperative in Georgia
and the tenth largest in the nation.
Sawnee EMC is more than electricity, we’re service.
