July 9, 2003)--- Accidents that involve electricity can yield tragic results. Accidental contact with electrical currents can
cause injury, fire, extensive damage and even death.

Always be aware of the location of power lines,
especially when using metal ladders, pool skimmers or pruning poles.

Never trim trees near power lines.
n
Electricity + water = Danger. Avoid using electric yard
tools when it’s raining or the ground is wet.
n
Do not step into a flooded area, such as a basement,
when water is in contact with electrical outlets or appliances.
n
Keep emergency numbers for Sawnee EMC close by.

Stay away from downed power lines.
