SAWNEE EMC DONATES $9,000 TO CUMMING/FORSYTH MIRACLE LEAGUE
(Cumming, September 1, 2005)— A good neighbor helps out when there is work to be done and supports the community by getting involved. Sawnee EMC has followed this philosophy for 67 years and has recently joined with the Cumming/Forsyth Miracle League to form a better tomorrow for disabled children and adults in the Forsyth County and surrounding communities. The Forsyth Miracle League is redesigning a field at Coal Mountain Park. This field will be used by the Miracle League players because the new barrier free surface that will be installed is safer and more user friendly. Sawnee EMC is joining a number of other community leaders to support this wonderful program. “Contributing money for this endeavor is our way of showing our support for such an outstanding program that will help so many individuals in our community,” stated Blake House, Vice-President of Member Services and Legislative Affairs. Community involvement has always been a vital part of Sawnee EMC’s mission to provide the best available service to their members. About Sawnee EMC Sawnee EMC is a consumer-owned cooperative providing electricity and related services to over 128,000 members in Forsyth, Cherokee, Dawson, Hall, Fulton, Gwinnett,
