CUMMING, GA (April 1, 2019) – On Monday, April 8th, Sawnee EMC will celebrate national Linemen Appreciation Day; and you are urged to join in this recognition.
National studies consistently rank power line work among the most challenging jobs in the country, and for good reason. Laboring high in the air, in inclement weather, wearing heavy equipment and working with high voltage power equipment creates these unique conditions.
Nevertheless, Sawnee EMC’s linemen are always up to the task. These brave men are committed to safety, as well as reliability, while meeting the complex challenges of their job. Sawnee’s linemen are responsible for keeping power flowing to almost 200,000 meters, regardless of when they are called upon - night, day, weekends and holidays.
Given the dedication of over 130 Sawnee linemen, please take a moment and acknowledge the many contributions they make to our local community on this special day.
And if you see their family members in the grocery store, or out and about, please offer them a “thank you” for their service as well.
On April 8th, use #ThankALineman on social media to show your support for the men and women who light our lives. Follow Sawnee EMC on Facebook at www.facebook.com/SawneeEMC and www.twitter.com/SawneeEMC for special #ThankALineman posts on and around April 8th
