CUMMING, GA – Sawnee EMC will utilize a “drive-through” format for registration at its 84th Annual Meeting scheduled for Saturday, October 1st. Additionally, Sawnee EMC members may opt to remain for its in-person business session.

Similar to 2021, members will drive up in their vehicle, and the staff will register the member for the meeting.  This will occur from 8:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, October 1st.  Each Sawnee EMC member who registers for the meeting will be provided a gift bag and will also be entered into a drawing for various energy bill credits, as well as the grand prize of a $1,000 VISA gift card.  Registered members do not have to be present at the business session to be eligible to win a prize.

Also, those that register for the meeting will receive a “state of the cooperative report” which provides insight into the affairs of the cooperative and outlines key issues and accomplishments from the past 12 months.

Members will be asked to approve the 2020 and 2021 Annual Meeting minutes, will receive the results of the 2022 director elections and will have an opportunity to submit questions or feedback that they may have to the staff.  Sawnee EMC members are encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting.

On September 9th, Sawnee EMC members who were receiving electric service as of September 2nd, were mailed Sawnee EMC’s Annual Report, which includes information about the 2022 Annual Meeting and the Official Notice.  Sawnee EMC members are encouraged to bring their “Registration Card,” which is part of this year’s Annual Report, to the Annual Meeting.
